Russian Trotter Horse

Russian trotter breed was formed as a reproduction selection of Orlov and American trotter with a strict control of horses by a type and working quality.

The work was started about 100 years ago. The Russian trotter as the new breed was registered in 1948.

Origin: Russia.

Colour: mostly bay, can be black, chestnut or grey.

Height: between 15.3 and 16hh

Conformation: The head is light, profile straight, neck long and straight, withers medium in height, back and loin straight and well muscled, croup flat, long and broad.

Character: generally of good disposition.

Uses: Trotting.
